I think professional bookkeepers will always hold an important place in business. Cloud and Xero makes the opportunities that much greater and more interesting. But I must say, bookkeepers need to continually improve their skills and be more than simple data punchers. The professional bookkeepers should work together to promote the professionalism of bookkeeping and "out" the dodgy operators.
